WHAT IS GEM REGISTRATION?




The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is a government-run e-commerce portal. It is a one-stop to facilitate and enable easy online procurement of the Consumer Goods & Services that are needed by various Government Departments, Organizations and PSUs.

The government under the Allocation of Business Rules, 1961 had begun the GeM in 2017. The main objective of the GeM is to ensure transparency, efficiency and promptness in the procurement of supplies.
Required Documents For Primary User Registration:

 1. Aadhaar Number / Virtual ID or PAN of the User.
2. Mobile number linked with Aadhaar/Mobile number in case of PAN
3. Active Email id
4. Documents as per Constitution type such as CIN,PAN,DIPP,UAM,ITR details to
5. Complete profile.
6. Address details
7. Bank account details
8. Registration Certificate of business entity (Certificate of Incorporation or GST Certificate or MSME Certificate)

Required Documents For Secondary User Registration:

Aadhaar number
Mobile number should be linked with Aadhaar
Active Email ID.

KEY NOTES


1. Registration on GeM should be done by an authorized person (Director of the organisation or a Key

Person).


2.  Details of the authorized person will get validated as per the Income Tax Return filing.

3. Primary seller have an option to create secondary seller’s to assign roles like Bid Participation,
Creation of Catalog and Order Fulfillment.

4. For MSE , UAM ( Udhyog Aadhaar Memorandum) and Aadhar/mobile number linked with the same
is required.

5. For Start Up, DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and promotion) number and mobile number

6. No separate registration required for Seller and Service provider.
